The National Football League has reached a final decision on potential punishment for New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel.
Vrabel, who was spotted at an Arizona resort with NFL insider Dianna Russini, will not be investigated nor punished for his offseason behavior. Russini, meanwhile, was forced to ultimately resign from her job at The Athletic, as the scandal continued to get worse and get more attention.
“Rather than allowing this to continue, I have decided to step aside now — before my current contract expires on June 30. I do so not because I accept the narrative that has been constructed around this episode, but because I refuse to lend it further oxygen or to let it define me or my career," Russini said.
“Over a career spanning more than fifteen years in sports journalism — at NBC, ESPN, and The Athletic — I have built a body of work I am proud of. I have broken stories, earned the trust of sources across the league, and been guided by the highest standards of professional conduct. That record speaks for itself."
Vrabel has often preached about holding his players accountable, setting a good example, doing the right thing, etc.
While Vrabel didn't technically break any NFL rules, some thing he still should've faced an investigation or some kind of discipline.
The NFL is not reviewing the conduct of New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel in the wake of photos taken of him with journalist Dianna Russini, league spokesman Brian McCarthy told ESPN.

NFL fans are not happy.
"Good luck with that lol at some point y'all gonna have to hold him accountable," one fan wrote.
"If Nick Sirianni did this, Goodell would order an air strike on the city of Philadelphia," one fan added.
"If Mike Vrabel was still the head coach of the Titans, the league would’ve made them blow up the new stadium btw," one fan added.
"They both should be held accountable," one fan added.
"So the NFL is definitely covering something up," one fan added.
"Disappointing, yes. Shocking? Not whatsoever," another fan added.
Does the NFL need to do something about Mike Vrabel?
