The running back position is not decided for the New Orleans Saints. Kellen Moore's first season will surely heavily involve Alvin Kamara, but who will be his main backup? That remains to be seen, and we may not know that answer until Week 1 of the regular season for the Saints.
A veteran RB option has been on their radar this offseason, according to a recent update.
According to Jeremy Fowler, the Saints have been involved in the free agency process for veteran running back Nick Chubb. They've shown interest to some degree, and the RB could sign somewhere on Monday.
What I know on Nick Chubb free agency, some of which reported on @SportsCenter this AM:

-#Texans considered leader among several teams
-#Saints and #Browns also have been involved to some degree (CLE unlikely)
-Chubb plans to sign as soon as Monday.
-Going to a contender…
The Houston Texans seem like the most likely landing spot for Chubb. He is visiting with them on Monday and could join the team, depending on his physical.
According to Ian Rapoport is expected to sign veteran running back Nick Chubb on Monday as long as all goes well with his physical. He's coming to Houston for a visit, and a deal seems likely between Chubb and Demeco Ryans' squad.
This is a guy that it feels like everyone has written off because of all of the injuries. And that is somewhat fair. He has had some of the worst luck you can think of when it comes to injuries. But he's confident in himself, and it feels like the Texans are too.

While Chubb may not join the Saints roster, it's notable that they've had their eye on him. New Orleans is clearly open to adding another experienced RB option to the depth chart ahead of training camp, following some practices at OTAs in recent weeks.
Kendre Miller, Devin Neal, and Clyde Edwards-Helaire are the most notable options behind running back Alvin Kamara for New Orleans right now.
