Drew Brees became one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history over his 20-year career. The New Orleans Saints great was a five-time All-Pro and delivered the franchise its first Super Bowl title. Brees also held the record for most career passing yards for several years with 80,358 before being passed by Tom Brady.
But since retiring in 2021, Brees has stayed busy. The future Hall of Famer joined NBC Sports as a studio analyst on “Football Night in America,” but left a year later in hopes of calling more games. And sure enough, in November, Brees signed with Fox Sports as a commentator, joining the likes of Brady and Greg Olsen.
But Brees has been making moves away from football as well. In 2019, the former Purdue star co-founded Surge Entertainment. The family entertainment complex offers numerous activities, including bowling, laser tag, arcades, ninja courses and more, with 15 locations across the country, including six entertainment centers and nine adventure parks.
And on Friday, Brees shared exciting news about Surge Entertainment’s New Orleans location, announcing that a new multi-level go-kart track will open later this month.
"Can’t wait to open up our new multi level Go Kart Track at Surge Entertainment in New Orleans!" Brees wrote on Instagram. "We will be open by Christmas and it will be EPIC! Fun for all ages. If you’re still looking to plan a holiday event… Surge is the perfect place! Birthday parties, corporate Christmas parties, post game parties, you name it! Come see us anytime!"
Brees also shared a glimpse of the new go-kart track along with a message for his fans.
"What's up everybody? Drew Brees here," Brees said. "I am fired up to tell you that our brand-new indoor go-kart track is officially open in just a few weeks. You are going to want to bring out the whole family, friends, co-workers and anyone looking for something new and exciting to do. Keep an eye out. Grand opening dates and specials are coming soon. You're not gonna want to miss being one of the first to hit this track."
Brees will continue his Fox analyst duties on Sunday when the Minnesota Vikings host the Washington Commanders in Week 14.
