NFL Legend Kurt Warner Predicts Super Bowl Champion

The NFL season is finally here, kicking off Thursday night with the Dallas Cowboys traveling to the City of Brotherly Love to face the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.

One of the most exciting parts of the season’s start is that all 32 teams begin on equal footing — everyone is 0-0 with the same goal: winning the Lombardi Trophy.

Reality, however, sets in quickly, and it doesn’t take long to separate the contenders from the pretenders.

This week, during “NFL GameDay,” Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner shared his predictions for Super Bowl LX in San Francisco this February.

While sticking with favorites, Warner predicts that, for the second straight year, the Kansas City Chiefs will face the Eagles — but this time, the Chiefs will win, giving Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce their fourth Lombardi Trophy.

"You guys know how much I love picking games before anybody has played a game yet, but I’m going with the two best teams from last year, and I’m going this time: Chiefs over Eagles," Warner said. "They're motivated and they're going to come back and win it this year."

If the Kansas City Chiefs can reach the Super Bowl again, it would mark four consecutive years of them representing the AFC — an astonishing feat. Even more remarkable, it could be the third Super Bowl in the last four years featuring a matchup between the Chiefs and the Eagles.

The Chiefs defeated the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII, a year after losing the AFC Championship to the Cincinnati Bengals. They then went back-to-back in Super Bowl LVIII, defeating the San Francisco 49ers.

However, the Eagles, led by Jalen Hurts, returned this past February to dominate Kansas City 40-22, capturing their second Lombardi Trophy and ending the possibility of the Chiefs becoming the first team in NFL history to three-peat.
