Tom Brady is just two weeks away from his third season calling NFL games with Fox Sports alongside play-by-play commentator Kevin Burkhardt and sideline reporter Erin Andrews. The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback will open 2026 at Lincoln Financial Field, calling the NFC East matchup between the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles.
But following his first season in the booth, which was topped off by calling the Eagles’ win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, Brady expanded his business portfolio by purchasing a 50% stake in the sports cards and collectibles chain CardVault, which has since changed its name to CardVault by Tom Brady.
Brady got into the sports cards and collectibles business because it is a personal passion of his, noting that it has “been part of his DNA since childhood.” And he has helped grow the business, helping expand to 19 total locations in the U.S.
And earlier this month, on August 15, Brady and founder Chris Costa opened their 19th CardVault by Tom Brady location in Palo Alto, marking the third store in the state of California. With the former quarterback in attendance, the new location drew a massive crowd for its grand opening, with some people in the Bay Area lining up as early as 2:30 a.m. local time.
However, just one week after the Palo Alto store’s opening, the new CardVault by Tom Brady location was burglarized.
Local police said the suspects smashed windows and display cases inside the store on El Camino Real. 60 trading cards were stolen, with CardVault by Tom Brady estimating the loss at more than $12,000. No further information has been revealed at this time.
CardVault by Tom Brady also recently added numerous investors, such as New York Yankees star Aaron Judge, rapper Jay-Z and Edmonton Oilers centre Connor McDavid, eyeing to open 24 total locations by the end of 2026 and 40 by the end of 2027.
