As the NFL season nears, the league is releasing its annual top 100 rankings.
On Monday morning, the league announced both players No. 60 and No. 59, with the latter being Los Angeles Rams quarterback, Matthew Stafford. It's a slight fall from last year's ranking, which saw him come in at No. 42, but it is still a testament to how good he is even at age 37.
In the video released by the league, it also featured Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman, Lane Johnson, who highlighted just how underrated Stafford is.
"I know Mahomes gets a lot of credit with the no-look passes but you can go back and look at Matt," Johnson said. "He hasn't gotten the credit that he deserves. Hasn't won as many awards as some other quarterbacks."
This past season for the Rams, Stafford threw for 3,762 yards with 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions, while completing 65.8% of his passes.
He led the team to the NFC Divisional round, where they fell to the Eagles in heartbreaking fashion. With a revamped offense around him, headlined by All-Pro receiver Davante Adams, the Rams could make a run in 2025.
Stafford will also likely finish his career with the Rams, whom he led to a Super Bowl in 2022, as he signed a two-year contract extension worth $84M this offseason.
