Jaxson Dart and the New York Giants will be looking to make it back-to-back wins on Sunday as they close out their campaign with a home game against the Dallas Cowboys. The Giants improved to 3-13 after their Week 17 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, 34-10, which was their first victory in their last 10 games.

Dart turned in a strong performance against Vegas, registering 22-of-30 completed passes for 207 yards. The rookie quarterback had nine carries for 48 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Dart, however, was involved in another contentious incident during the game. The 22-year-old took a hard hit in the fourth quarter, resulting in a roughing the passer penalty against the Raiders.

It was Las Vegas cornerback Greedy Vance Jr. who was penalized for his tackle on Dart. The Raiders rookie came in late on his tackle and also made helmet-to-helmet contact with Dart after the latter had already released his pass.

Vance was flagged for a personal foul. The referees called a roughing the passer infraction on Vance, resulting in a 15-yard penalty for the Giants. The penalty, however, was negated by an offsetting penalty against New York. Dart was called for an intentional grounding violation on his pass, which canceled out Vance’s roughing the passer foul.

The NFL has investigated the incident and has decided that Vance will not be fined for his foul on Dart. The decision was announced via the gameday accountability report, which listed all the fines from Week 17. Vance was not included on the said list.

Two of Vance’s teammates were fined for violations against the Giants, though. Linebacker Tommy Eichenberg was fined $5,802, while defensive tackle Jonah Lauluwas was fined $5,333, both of which were for unnecessary roughness infractions.

Dart and the Giants will play their season finale at home. They will host Dak Prescott and the Cowboys at MetLife Stadium on Sunday. The Raiders, on the other hand, face the Kansas City Chiefs at Allegiant Stadium for their last game of the season.
