The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs, 40-22, on Sunday in Super Bowl LIX, dominating the defending champions.

Philadelphia finished the season with an 18-3 record, defeating the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams, Washington Commanders and Chiefs in the postseason.

After a dominant performance in the Super Bowl, the NFL issued a pair of fines to Eagles defensive tackle Milton Williams and linebacker Jalyx Hunt.

While the two received their punishment for actions made in the Super Bowl, defensive tackle Jalen Carter avoided a penalty, per Tom Pelissero

Carter was involved in a play that ended with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffering a sack-fumble by Williams. After Mahomes had the ball stripped, he was struck in the face mask by Carter.

Despite Carter avoiding the fine, Williams was fined $14,069 for what happened after the play. After recovering the fumble, Williams ran to the end zone and dunked the ball over the crossbar. He was fined for an unsportsmanlike conduct with the use of a prop.

Linebacker Jalyx Hunt was fined $5,690 for unsportsmanlike conduct deemed as a violent gesture.

The Eagles dominated Mahomes and the Chiefs throughout the Super Bowl on both sides of the ball. Mahomes threw two interceptions and lost a fumble, leading to 17 Eagles points, and the Chiefs' offense recorded just 275 yards and 12 first downs.

Philadelphia's defense finished the game with one touchdown, four pass deflections, six sacks, 11 QB hits and 48 tackles.
