After locking up the AFC's No. 1 seed and a bye in the NFL playoffs, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs will likely be resting a majority of their key players in the Week 18 finale against the Denver Broncos.
Coach Andy Reid has already confirmed that backup quarterback Carson Wentz will start in place of Patrick Mahomes. With Kansas City resting multiple starters in the 2023 regular season finale, fans can expect the same this year.
However, on Thursday, the NFL did announce some good news for Kelce: The 12th-year tight end has been named to the Pro Bowl once again.

Kelce is joined by three other tight ends on the Pro Bowl roster, which includes two from the AFC and two from the NFC. San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle will be making his return to the game, while Trey McBride of the Arizona Cardinals and Brock Bowers of the Las Vegas Raiders will be making their first appearance.
Kelce is joined by four of his Chiefs teammates in the 2024 Pro Bowl, including guards Joe Thuney and Trey Smith, defensive tackle Chris Jones and center Creed Humphrey. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was a notable snub from the roster.
In his Hall of Fame-worthy career, Kelce, the former Cincinnati Bearcats star, has now been named to ten-straight Pro Bowls. He also led all NFL players in fan voting with 252,200 votes, over 2,000 more than the second-highest (Jahmyr Gibbs).
Even with the highest vote number, which many expect to come from the fans of his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, Kelce isn't necessarily having his best statistical season. Through 16 games, the three-time Super Bowl champion has tallied 97 catches for 823 yards and three touchdowns.
The Chiefs remain one of the better teams in the league going into Week 18, owning the best record in the NFL at 15-1. Now, their top players may get a three-week rest before going to battle in the divisional round.
