NFL mock draft: Feb. 18, 2019

There were several major developments in the NFL last week, including a major injury to projected first-rounder DL Jeffery Simmons and Denver's acquisition of Joe Flacco. As a result, the pieces continue to shift. Here's a look at our latest mock draft as of Feb. 18.

1 of 32

1. Arizona Cardinals: Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State

Arizona Cardinals: Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State
Tim Heitman / USA Today Sports Images

The big decision here for the Cardinals seems to be keeping the pick and taking Bosa or trading down to a quarterback-needy team. Of course, Kliff Kingsbury's past compliments of Kyler Murray could make this pick especially interesting, but the Cardinals have tried to commit to Josh Rosen, at least in the media.

2. San Francisco 49ers: Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama

San Francisco 49ers: Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama
Matthew Emmons / USA Today Sports Images

The 49ers are hoping to finish developing a dominant defensive line with former first-round picks DeForest Buckner and Solomon Thomas, and Williams could be the final piece. The youthful defensive tackle has jumped up draft boards after finishing with eight sacks and 71 tackles in his sophomore season at Alabama.

3. New York Jets: Josh Allen, OLB, Kentucky

Allen is still in the conversation as the first-overall draft choice after recording 17 sacks for Kentucky last season. The Jets are encouraged by Sam Darnold's rookie development, but the value in this spot is on defense.

4. Oakland Raiders: Devin White, LB, LSU

White has a chance to be a sideline-to-sideline tackling machine in the NFL, and there really isn't a position on the field where the Raiders should feel set. He could be the best long-term solution available at No. 4.

5 of 32

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Ed Oliver, DT, Houston

Tommy Gilligan / USA Today Sports Images

There's a strong possibility that long-term star Gerald McCoy will be a cap casualty for the Bucs, opening the door for the team to take a defensive lineman. Oliver was a prospect for the No. 1 overall pick coming into the season but missed time with a knee injury. He could help Tampa Bay for a long time to come.

6 of 32

6. New York Giants: Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State

Haskins still looks like the top quarterback on the board, but he probably won't fall this far if recent history of teams trading up for signal-callers in the draft is any indication. He would cause a stir in the New York media if the Giants retain Eli Manning on the roster.

7 of 32

7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma

Jacksonville Jaguars: Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma
John David Mercer / USA Today Sports Images

Jacksonville looks like the most likely destination for free-agent Nick Foles, but for now the Jags are still in the market for a quarterback in the draft. Murray is fully committed to football over baseball and was responsible for more than 5,300 yards of offense last season.

8 of 32

8. Detroit Lions: Rashan Gary, DE, Michigan

Detroit Lions: Rashan Gary, DE, Michigan
Rick Osentoski / USA Today Sports Images

With Ezekiel Ansah potentially leaving in free agency, the Lions are in the market for a pass rusher. Gary could help immediately; he had 9.5 sacks in 22 games over the last two seasons.

9 of 32

9. Buffalo Bills: Jonah Williams, OT, Alabama

Buffalo Bills: Jonah Williams, OT, Alabama
Matthew Emmons / USA Today Sports Images

Buffalo needs to desperately improve its offensive line if it would like to develop 2018 draftee Josh Allen. Williams could shift Dion Dawkins back to guard, or he could fit at right tackle.

10 of 32

10. Denver Broncos: Greedy Williams, CB, LSU

Denver Broncos: Greedy Williams, CB, LSU
John David Mercer / USA Today Sports Images

Denver isn't necessarily out of the market for a quarterback after acquiring Joe Flacco, but it does make taking one in the first round less likely. Their attention could now shift to the defense, and cornerback is an area of need with Chris Harris getting older and the team potentially losing Bradley Roby and Tramaine Brock via free agency.

11 of 32

11. Cincinnati Bengals: Cody Ford, OT, Oklahoma

Cincinnati Bengals: Cody Ford, OT, Oklahoma
Kevin Jairaj / USA Today Sports Images

It shouldn't surprise anyone if Cincinnati trades this pick, as the Bengals have dire needs at linebacker and in the secondary. If they do stay in this spot, offensive line is another major need, and Ford is one of the most versatile linemen on the board, with the ability to play tackle or guard.

12 of 32

12. Green Bay Packers: Clelin Ferrell, DE, Clemson

Green Bay Packers: Clelin Ferrell, DE, Clemson
Matthew Emmons / USA Today Sports Images

Green Bay needs pass rush help, with Clay Matthews and Muhammad Wilkerson entering free agency and Nick Perry a candidate to be cut. Ferrell is a potentially dominant edge rusher, with 27 sacks over the last three seasons.

13 of 32

13. Miami Dolphins: Daniel Jones, QB, Duke

James Guillory / USA Today Sports Images

Miami could go in quite a few directions with this pick as they embark on a full rebuild. Quarterback is just one of their needs. Jones might need some development time and probably wouldn't be a first-round pick in a normal year, but he has the advantage of a weak quarterback class.

14 of 32

14. Atlanta Falcons: Montez Sweat, DE, Mississippi State

Sweat was the talk of Senior Bowl practice, and his elite tools make him a great value if he falls to the middle of the first round. Atlanta is in the market for a pass rusher again, as Vic Beasley is a candidate to be cut this offseason after consecutive disappointing years.

15 of 32

15. Washington Redskins: Drew Lock, QB, Missouri

John David Mercer / USA Today Sports Images

Washington is looking for a quarterback again with Alex Smith's future in doubt due to a catastrophic leg injury. Lock made nice progress at Mizzou last season, but his accuracy on short throws is still a question mark.

16 of 32

16. Carolina Panthers: Jachai Polite, DE, Florida

Kim Klement / USA Today Sports Images

Carolina is very much in the market for defensive line help after Julius Peppers retired. While slightly undersized, Polite showed impressive ability with 11 sacks and 19.5 tackles for loss in his junior season.

17 of 32

17. Cleveland Browns: Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson

General manager John Dorsey has his fair share of playmakers, but Cleveland can still use some help on the interior of the defensive line. Wilkins had 16 sacks in four seasons at Clemson.

18 of 32

18. Minnesota Vikings: Dalton Risner, OT, Kansas State

Minnesota Vikings: Dalton Risner, OT, Kansas State

Minnesota has clearly needed help on the offensive line, and Risner has the potential to be an immediate plug and play after four seasons at Kansas State.

19 of 32

19. Tennessee Titans: T.J. Hockenson, TE, Iowa

Jesse Johnson / USA Today Sports Images

Delanie Walker missed nearly all of last season to injury and is one of the older starting tight ends in the game. Tennessee could clearly use a succession plan. Hockenson has been flying up draft boards after declaring early, as he finished last season with 49 receptions for 760 yards and six touchdowns.

20 of 32

20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Byron Murphy, CB, Washington

Pittsburgh Steelers: Byron Murphy, CB, Washington
Kelley L. Cox / USA Today Sports Images

Pittsburgh has seemed less than thrilled with former first-round pick Artie Burns, and Cory Sensabaugh is set for free agency. Murphy is coming off a productive season for the Huskies, with four picks and 58 tackles.

21 of 32

21. Seattle Seahawks: Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida

Bryan Lynn / USA Today Sports Images

Seattle desperately needs help along the interior of their offensive line. Taylor profiles well at right tackle, which would allow the versatile George Fant to continue in a hybrid role where he found success in 2018.

22 of 32

22. Baltimore Ravens: D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss

Baltimore Ravens: D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss
Matt Bush / USA Today Sports Images

With John Brown heading into free agency and Michael Crabtree a cut candidate, the Ravens have a need at wideout once again. Metcalf has impressive measurables and averaged 21.9 yards per reception when he was healthy last season.

23 of 32

23. Houston Texans: Deandre Baker, CB, Georgia

Houston Texans: Deandre Baker, CB, Georgia
Jason Getz / USA Today Sports Images

The Texans could need help in the secondary if they don't re-sign their pending free agents, cornerback Kareem Jackson and safety Tyrann Mathieu. Baker has been extremely productive over the last three seasons for the Bulldogs.

24 of 32

24. Oakland Raiders (via Bears): Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma

Kevin Jairaj / USA Today Sports Images

Oakland is clearly in the wide receiver market after trading Amari Cooper last season. Brown averaged 18.3 yards per reception in two seasons at Oklahoma and could be an immediate impact player.

25 of 32

25. Philadelphia Eagles: Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson

Timmy Jernigan is on the chopping block for the Eagles due to his hefty contract, but Lawrence would be a perfect replacement. He's a load in the middle and a safe bet to be a top run stopper in the NFL.

26 of 32

26. Indianapolis Colts: N'Keal Harry, WR, Arizona State

Indianapolis Colts: N'Keal Harry, WR, Arizona State
Mark J. Rebilas / USA Today Sports Images

Harry's tools and productivity make him an appetizing early-round pick. Indy needs more wide receiver weapons behind T.Y. Hilton, and Harry is a big wideout who could be a great complement to Hilton's deep ability.

27 of 32

27. Oakland Raiders (via Cowboys): Josh Jacobs, RB, Alabama

Jasen Vinlove / USA Today Sports Images

The Raiders have been complimentary of Jalen Richard's ability, but it remains to be seen if he's capable as a bell cow back. Jacobs has similar versatility but could possibly take on a bigger workload. He doesn't have much mileage on his wheels, with a total of 299 touches in his Alabama career.

28 of 32

28. Los Angeles Chargers: Andre Dillard, OT, Washington State

Mark J. Rebilas / USA Today Sports Images

Right tackle is a major need for the Chargers. The organization has had some bad luck in the draft recently, with 2017 second-round pick guard Forrest Lamp failing to stay healthy, and will likely need to use an early pick this year if the team is not confident in his ability to bounce back.

29 of 32

29. Kansas City Chiefs: Trayvon Mullen, CB, Clemson

Kansas City Chiefs: Trayvon Mullen, CB, Clemson
Mark J. Rebilas / USA Today Sports Images

Regardless of whether the Chiefs are able to re-sign Steven Nelson, they could be in the market for a cornerback. Mullen was Clemson's best at that position over the last two seasons and has the size (6-foot-2) that the Chiefs look for in press corners.

30 of 32

30. Green Bay Packers (via Saints): Jeffery Simmons, DT, Mississippi State

Vasha Hunt / USA Today Sports Images

Simmons had terrible luck after suffering a torn ACL in the past week, pushing what was probably a top 10 pick to late in the first round or worse. He can't be expected to contribute much in 2019, but he could be a nice developmental prospect for the Packers. He had seven sacks and 30 tackles for loss over the last two seasons.

31 of 32

31. Los Angeles Rams: Brian Burns, DE, Florida State

The Rams could lose both Ndamukong Suh and Dante Fowler in free agency, so a pass rusher will be one of their priorities. Burns had 10 sacks for a bad Seminoles team last year.

32. New England Patriots: Irv Smith Jr., TE, Alabama

Rob Gronkowski's future is up in the air after contemplating retirement last offseason. Smith is a rare big-play threat at tight end who could step in immediately after averaging more than 16 yards per reception last season.
