NFL player prop bets for Week 7 and beyond

Yardbarker's Ryan Fowler runs down some NFL player prop bets for Week 7 and beyond.

As "The Chosen One," LeBron James, began to write his latest chapter Thursday night, and Arizona's "Rosen One" was at the tail end of a good ol' fashioned whoopin' courtesy of the Denver Broncos. Josh Rosen, the Cardinals first-round draft pick out of UCLA, finished 21-of-39 for 194 yards with three interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns. Arizona dropped to 0-4 at home and 1-6 overall. The race is on for 2019's No. 1 draft pick, but the Cardinals need to continue regressing to keep the New York Giants from snatching the top spot. We'll pick up our Week 7 prop bet rundown with the G-Men, who visit a reeling Falcons squad.

How many receiving yards will Saquon Barkley have vs. Falcons?

How many receiving yards will Saquon Barkley have vs. Falcons?
Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Odds: Over 60 | Under 60

Barkley is averaging better than 60 receiving yards through six games this season. He's averaged 90 receiving yards the past two weeks. The Atlanta Falcons depleted defense continues to allow opposing running backs to catch and run for days. Opposing backs are racking up nearly 71 receiving yards per game.

Will Todd Gurley rush for over 200 yards in any game Week 7 to 16?

Will Todd Gurley rush for over 200 yards in any game Week 7 to 16?
Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

Odds: Yes +400 | No -700

Coming off 28 rushes for 208 yards with two touchdowns against the Broncos, the thought of the Rams workhorse doing it again is appealing. Why? Nobody can slow the man down. Plus, he still has the Lions, who rank 30th against the rush, and Cardinals, who rank dead last against the rush, remaining on the schedule. The allure of the second Arizona matchup is that it comes in Week 16 when Gurley may look to pad his rushing title stats.

It's very telling that oddsmakers left out Week 17 in this bet because by December, the Rams should have the NFC West all wrapped up and will be looking ahead to the postseason. This wouldn't require too much of Gurley's services on a weekly basis.

Total sacks by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7?

Total sacks by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7?
Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

Odds: Over 2.5 (-120) | Under 2.5 (-120)

The Ravens harassed Tennessee's Marcus Mariota for four quarters in their Week 6 game before finishing with 11 sacks of the Titans quarterback. Baltimore had averaged three sacks per game through its first five. Drew Brees' offensive line has allowed the second-fewest sacks this season: eight.

Will Vontaze Burfict get suspended again in the 2018 NFL regular season?

Will Vontaze Burfict get suspended again in the 2018 NFL regular season?
Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

Odds: Yes (+170) | No (-250)

Media pundits across the country filed dozens of think-piece columns this week regarding Burfict's play on the field and if his actions would eventually get somebody, for hyperbole sake, killed. His latest controversial play came when he popped Antonio Brown with an elbow to the head/helmet as the receiver was going to the ground. He was not suspended for the hit.

However, Burfict continues to dance on the NFL's red line and eventually, during "the emotion of the game," his extracurricular activity is going to be too much, he'll be ejected and likely suspended...again.

Who will have more receiving yards in Week 7?

Who will have more receiving yards in Week 7?
Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Odds: Julio Jones -170 | Odell Beckham +130

Atlanta's Mohamed Sanu and rookie Calvin Ridley both missed another practice on Thursday. This, along with Devonta Freeman's recent injured reserve designation, places more targets at Julio Jones' feet. Although he remains allergic to scoring touchdowns, Jones is averaging better than five receptions and 10 targets per game and has averaged nearly 119 receiving yards per contest over the past month. Beckham is an uber-talented receiver, but he and Eli Manning are often on opposite pages, unlike Matt Ryan and Jones who have remained in sync despite the lack of scores.

How many interceptions will Matt Stafford throw vs. Dolphins?

How many interceptions will Matt Stafford throw vs. Dolphins?
Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

Odds: Over 1 | Under 1

After tossing four picks against the Jets back in Week 1, Stafford has thrown only one interception in his past four games. He'll be tested Week 7 at Miami, as the Dolphins lead the NFL with 11 picks. Detroit needing to play on the road coming off its BYE doesn't sound like a recipe for success. Stafford is known for trying to fit some of his passes into tight windows, routes which the Dolphins are primed to jump.

How many receiving yards will Greg Olsen have vs. Eagles?

How many receiving yards will Greg Olsen have vs. Eagles?
Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Odds: Over 45 | Under 45

Philadelphia has allowed the fewest fantasy football points to opposing tight ends, which helps in analyzing this NFL prop bet. Opposing tight ends are averaging less than 40 receiving yards per game. Only Tampa Bay's two-headed tight end monster finished with more than 46 receiving yards in a game this season. Cam Newton's favorite target was Olsen for many years, but foot injuries in back-to-back seasons have slowed the veteran tight end and the matchup isn't worth the investment.

How many rushing yards will Adrian Peterson have vs. Cowboys?

How many rushing yards will Adrian Peterson have vs. Cowboys?
Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Odds: Over 70 | Under 70

Did you know Adrian Peterson reportedly dislocated his shoulder in the Redskins loss to the Saints? Because he didn't miss any time, that story seemed to get washed away in the 24-hour news cycle. But it is another example of how the 33-year-old running back is a quick-healing freak of nature. His 2018 season to date has been a little bit of a roller coaster, however. Peterson's game logs look like this:

Game 1: 96 rush yards
Game 2: 20 rush yards
Game 3: 120 rush yards
Game 4: 6 rush yards
Game 5: 97 rush yards

So he's due to regress again this week, right? The Cowboys have held opposing running back units under 75 total rush yards in each of the past three games.

Will A.J. Green score a touchdown vs. Chiefs?

Will A.J. Green score a touchdown vs. Chiefs?
Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

Odds: Yes (EVEN) | No (-120)

After scoring four touchdowns the first two weeks, Green has only one score over the last month. It's no secret that Kansas City's defense can be carved up via the run and pass, but it ranks in the middle of the pack in terms of touchdowns allowed to opposing receivers.

Will Kenyan Drake record a carry from the opponent's 1-yard line in any game Week 7 to 16?

Will Kenyan Drake record a carry from the opponent's 1-yard line in any game Week 7 to 16?
Douglas DeFelice-USA TODAY Sports

Odds: Yes -175 | No +135

In case you missed it, Drake fumbled on the Bears' 1-yard line when it appeared he was going to score the game-winner for Miami in overtime last week. So now the question becomes: Do the Dolphins trust Drake in goal line situations moving forward, OR will they let veteran Frank Gore handle the rock inside the opponent's 5? Head coach Adam Gase strikes me as the type of coach who will give Drake the benefit of the doubt. If there is an opportunity to score from the 1 in the future, he'll get a shot. It may not be the very next time, but he'll get his shot this season.

Will Amari Cooper be traded before Nov. 14, 2018?

Will Amari Cooper be traded before Nov. 14, 2018?
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Odds: Yes (+250) | No (-400)

At first it was Le'Veon Bell, then LeSean McCoy, and now Cooper's name is swirling around the rumor mill. For as awful as the Raiders have looked this season, the fourth-year receiver out of Alabama does have two 100-yard performances on his 2018 resume. With so many contenders in need of receiver depth, it wouldn't shock me to see the Raiders admit defeat, chalk it up as a lost season and get something in return for Cooper ahead of the move to Las Vegas.

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Odds: Over 11.5 (-220) | Under 11.5 (+155)

His competition is 30-year-old journeyman Alex Tanney. Giants' first-year head coach Pat Shurmur can't bench Manning and be wrong about Tanney. I don't see how Manning doesn't start the rest of this season.

Odds: Over 99.5 (-125) | Under 99.5 (-115)

Through six games, Thielen is averaging nearly 10 receptions on 13 targets for nearly 119 receiving yards per game. The Jets secondary allows nearly 270-plus passing yards per game. Pro Football Focus says Thielen has the second-most friendly wide receiver/cornerback matchup of the week.

Total sacks allowed by the Tennessee Titans in Week 7?

Total sacks allowed by the Tennessee Titans in Week 7?
Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Odds: Over 2.5 (-120) | Under 2.5 (-120)

The Titans play the Chargers in London on Sunday morning. The once-vaunted Titans offensive line is now in shambles after allowing the Ravens to sack Marcus Mariota 11 times last weekend. However, the Chargers are still without Joey Bosa, who could be the difference between a two-sack and three-or-more sack performance by Los Angeles.

Will the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots play each other in the AFC Championship Game?
David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

Odds: Yes (+200) | No (-300)

Everybody's a critic, right? Well, that was unless you were the die-hard or casual NFL fan watching last Sunday's matchup between the Chiefs and Patriots. If you go by Twitter reactions during and after the game, the high-scoring affair appealed to the masses. While there is often Patriots fatigue due to their AFC dominance over the past 15 years, it would appear the Chiefs are worthy adversaries and would make for a compelling postseason rematch. However, the Chargers, Steelers and Jaguars remain in the mix to challenge the Pats and Chiefs this season.
