NFL Players Seem To Think That Antarctica Is Fake

With Week 1 of the 2026 season about to begin, some NFL players have revealed they have doubts about whether or not Antartica exists.

After landing in Australia earlier this week, San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw was asked if he has any questions for Australians. That opened the door for Greenlaw to ask about the weather in Antartica and whether anyone has taken a trip to the coldest continent.

“I mean, how far are we from Antarctica? That’s what I got,” Greenlaw said. “We’re right on top of it, huh? Does It snow probably pretty bad here? So Antarctica, is it a lie?”

When a reporter told Greenlaw they haven’t been to Antartica, he replied: “Never been there. So how do you know if it’s cold or not?”

Dre Greenlaw isn’t alone.

Pittsburgh Steelers receiver DK Metcalf revealed this week that he has doubts about Antartica’s existence.

“You can go to Alaska. You could go to the North Pole,” Metcalf said, via Pro Football Talk. “But why not Antarctica? Why can’t you just book a trip to Antarctica?”

Metcalf admit that he’s a “big conspiracy theorist,” so his comments about Antarctica aren’t that surprising.

It wouldn’t shock us if other players come forward with their conspiracy theories about Antarctica.
