Range Breakdown: Going 0-3 into Week 4, the decision was unanimous. 10 outlets, including ES, rank the New Orleans Saints dead last at No. 32. After their defense gave up 44 points, and their offense struggled to find any spark, their drop from the 30.4 rank last week was no surprise.
Range Breakdown: Five sites, including ES, have the Tennessee Titans second last at 31. CBS.com ranks them the highest at 28, while Yahoo and PFF’s verdict hands them the 30th spot. Their average rank of 30.1 is a drop from last week’s 28.4 following a turnover and third-down struggles that brought them to 0-3 in Week 3.
Range breakdown: PFF and CBS.com have the New York Giants lowest at 31. Four outlets, including ES, have them at 30, while Yahoo, Bleacher Report, and PFT rank them at 29. The highest rank the Giants received is from SI at 28. With last week’s 28.4 average ranking in the rearview, two turnovers and a mere 1-10 third-down efficiency have left New York still searching for its first win of the season.
Range breakdown: The Miami Dolphins put up a fight but failed to hold the momentum in the fourth quarter and brought in their third straight loss of the season. Following the 31-21 loss, three outlets have them ranked the lowest at 31. Bleacher Report, SI, and PFT give Miami the 30th slot, and ESPN and CBS.com have them at 29th. ES lands Miami in the 28th slot, but PFF sees the most improvement, ranking them the highest at 25th. Miami has managed to move up to a 29.4 average from last week’s 30.
Range breakdown: CBS.com has the New York Jets at 30th. ES and PFF rank them at 29th, while five outlets have the Jets at 28th. Bleacher Report and SI have given them the highest rank of 27. Their Week 4 average rank of 28.2 is a drop from last week’s 26.7. Despite head coach Aaron Glenn’s squad struggling to make plays throughout three quarters, and only managed a bright spark in the fourth quarter. They came close to a win, but go to Week 4 with a 0-3 record.
Range breakdown: The New England Patriots lost 21-14 with a whopping 5 turnovers. Those blunders had ES and NFL.com list New England lowest at 27th. Three outlets rank them 26th, Bleacher Report and ESPN have them at the 25th spot, PFF gives them 24th, Yahoo 23rd, and the highest rank comes from CBS.com at 20th. Last week’s 23.4 rank has seen an ever-so-slight dip with an UberRank of 24.9
Range breakdown: CBS.com ranks the Baltimore Ravens lowest at No. 11. The Athletic and PFT rank them at No. 10, with B/R ranking them No. 8. ESPN, Yahoo, and NFL.com rank Baltimore at No. 7, ES ranks them at No. 6, and SI ranks them at No. 4. Highest rank comes from SI with the No. 3. A fumble in the fourth quarter cost Baltimore dearly. After their 38-30 loss, the Ravens’ average rank has dropped from 3.8 all the way to 7.3.
