At the start of the month, the 2006 NFF College Football Hall of Famer Dick Farley passed away at 79. He played defensive back for the San Diego Chargers in the NFL.
On April 11, Chris Payton Jones, who appeared in 29 NFL games with the Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, and Tennessee Titans from 2018 through 2021, died in a tragic car accident. He was just 30 years old at the time of his passing.
Two days later, the Dallas Cowboys learned about the death of John Fitzgerald. He played in the league from 1970 to 1981, spending all his 12 seasons with the Lone Star, winning two championships in the process.
