NFL World Reacts to Trevor Lawrence's Season-Ending Injury News

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced on Wednesday that they have placed star quarterback Trevor Lawrence on the reserve/injury list following the 25-year-old suffered a brutal hit during their 23-20 loss against the Houston Texans on Sunday.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport provided a significant update on Lawrence's injury on Wednesday night, revealing that the first-overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft is now expected to miss the remainder of the season after being forced to undergo surgery to address his shoulder injury.

"#Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence is expected to have surgery to repair his significant AC joint injury in his left shoulder in the coming weeks, sources say. His season is over. Lawrence will make a full recovery for 2025," Rapoport wrote on X.

This is an undeniably unfortunate development for Lawrence and an unwanted turn of events for the Jaguars.

The fans were quick to offer their messages of support for the former Clemson star on X.

"Such a heartbreaking way for his season to end. Trevor has been playing so well this year. I hope he recovers quickly and comes back even stronger in 2025," a comment read.

"Season ending injury never nice news. Feel for the guy," a reaction read.

"Not great.. wishing Trevor a healthy and speedy recovery ❤️‍" said another.

"Season over, but recovery for 2025 starts now. Get well soon, Trevor," a fan wrote.

"Seems like such a bad fate for a guy who could have been a top 10 QB," surmised another.

"what a rough season for Trevor. Hope he recovers well," reacted a user.

Lawrence ends his 2024 campaign with a 2-8 quarterback record. He logged 172 completed passes out of 284 attempts (60.6% completion rate), 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

As several of the comments stated, Lawrence and the Jaguars will now be looking forward to next season as they hope for a healthy resurgence in 2025.
