OBJ Gets His Iconic No. 13 Back With Giants

Odell Beckham Jr. is officially back in the number that helped make him a household name.

After returning to the New York Giants this offseason and wearing No. 3 throughout training camp and the preseason, Beckham will once again wear his iconic No. 13 jersey during the 2026 regular season. The Giants announced the change Tuesday, bringing back one of the most recognizable numbers in franchise history.

The move comes after Beckham officially earned his spot on the Giants’ initial 53-man roster. He had been wearing No. 3 while making his comeback, but No. 13 became available after wide receiver Jalin Hyatt was waived and subsequently signed to the practice squad.

For Beckham, getting No. 13 back means much more than simply changing the number on his jersey. It is the number he wore during the first five seasons of his NFL career, when he quickly established himself as one of the most exciting players in football.

Beckham’s first stint with New York from 2014 through 2018 produced some incredible numbers. In just 59 games, he recorded 390 receptions for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns, while earning three consecutive Pro Bowl selections to begin his career.

The No. 13 jersey also became synonymous with Beckham’s spectacular one-handed catches, big plays and unique personality. Now, more than a decade after his NFL debut, he will once again take the field for the Giants wearing the same number.

Beckham had previously hinted that he wanted the number back. When asked about the possibility, he said it would be an “honor and privilege” to put No. 13 back on.

The number change adds another layer to what has already been an emotional comeback for the 33-year-old receiver. Beckham did not play in the NFL during the 2025 season before returning to the team where he became a superstar.

Now, he has earned a roster spot, reclaimed his iconic number and is preparing for another season in New York.

With Beckham back in No. 13, Giants fans are hoping the familiar jersey can bring back some of the magic that made OBJ one of the biggest stars in football.
