Joe Flacco has taken the NFL by storm since taking over the Browns quarterback position in Week 12.

His play down the stretch, which includes four straight games with 300-plus yards in leading the team to a 4-1 record, has Cleveland thinking Super Bowl.

Browns fans aren't the only ones experiencing what's affectionately been dubbed "Flacco Fever," though. One of the league's top QBs is also experiencing symptoms of the illness as well.

On Tuesday, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes joined local Kansas City's station 610 Sports Radio and raved about the 16-year veteran, finding himself in awe by what has been some of the best play of Flacco's career.

"Dude, I watched some tape on Joe over this bye week and he’s making some of the most unreal throws I think I’ve ever seen," Mahomes said. "He’s playing some great football and I’m excited for him, man. He’s doing a great job.”

Mahomes certainly knows what elite QB play looks like. With two Super Bowl titles and two MVP awards under his belt, the 28-year-old is one of the most decorated players in the game today. He's gearing up to lead the Chiefs on another Super Bowl of their own and ironically, could cross paths with Flacco along the way if things play out right.

As for Flacco, he has a chance to add a second Lombardi Trophy to his resume if can continue playing at a high level. His first Super Bowl win came in 2012 during an 11-year stint with the Baltimore Ravens

In his five starts with Cleveland, the 38-year-old has amassed 1,616 yards, tossed 13 touchdowns, but also eight interceptions. He's 10-5 in the playoffs all time and never lost in the Wild Card Round, which opens up this weekend when the Browns visit the Texans on Saturday afternoon.
