One of the most underrated QBs in the country that no one is talking about just got invited to the Manning Passing Academy

Despite being one of the worst football programs over the last ten years, mainly because of the damage that Chad Morris did to the program, the Arkansas Razorbacks still produce some pretty good talent when it comes to the draft.

This last year, they had guys like Landon Jackson get drafted to the Buffalo Bills and Isaac TeSlaa get drafted to the Detroit Lions pretty high, too. Then, Andrew Armstrong was one of the highest-paid UDFAs to the Miami Dolphins and should have been drafted, but that's neither here nor there.

As for this upcoming season, they have a quarterback in Taylen Green who probably deserves much more attention than what he is currently getting.

At Boise State, he was the 2022 Mountain West Freshman of the Year and 2023 Mountain West Championship Game MVP. In his 2024 Arkansas debut, he racked up 3,154 passing yards, 602 rushing yards, and 23 touchdowns, 15 of them passing and eight of them rushing, ranking second in program history for single-season total offense.

His standout game was the Liberty Bowl, throwing for 341 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 81 yards and a score, earning MVP honors, and winning their second Liberty Bowl game in three years.

In 2024, Green completed 60.4% of his passes for 3,154 yards, 15 touchdowns, and nine interceptions, plus 602 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. He had big games, like 416 passing yards against Oklahoma State and five touchdown passes against Mississippi State, earning National Offensive Player of the Week honors.

However, he struggled with 14 turnovers, with nine of them interceptions, and five of them fumbles, and was also sacked 30 times, not that they were all his fault, but his decision-making in the pocket and his awareness need work. Oftentimes, he would get jittery in the pocket and just randomly take off running.

It's safe to say that Green is only going to get better, too, especially considering that he's going to the Manning Passing Academy, which is hosted by, you guessed it, Peyton and Eli Manning, two of the greatest to ever do it. Some would even say that Peyton, back in his days with the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos, that he's the best ever.

The Hogs have to be happy that he got the invite, too. This time next year, who knows, we could be talking about what team Green was drafted to.
