Packers' Amari Rodgers listed as first-string punt returner

 The Packers released their first depth chart earlier this week. It's "unofficial," but it's worth noting Amari Rodgers is listed first at punter returner. 

The team's special teams woes last season have been well documented. Green Bay brought in veteran special teams coach Rich Bisaccia to fix the issues.

Rodgers is reportedly feeling more confident and hungrier in year two. No. 8 has been named the first-string punt returner, unofficially, for the 2022 season. He had 20 punt returns as a rookie and averaged 8.3 yards-per-return last season. It is clear Bisaccia is going with experience over explosiveness. 

Rodgers played 29% of the team's snaps on special teams to just 10% of the team's offensive snaps. He should look to play even more snaps in total on both of those sides of the ball, but he certainly will have a great impact on special teams if this week's depth chart release is any indication.
