Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson is still unavailable, but he’s close to returning to action after his 21-day practice window off the physically unable to perform list has been opened.
That means the Packers have up to three weeks to activate him to the 53-man roster. There is still plenty of time for Green Bay to decide on that, but the excitement for his much-awaited return downfield is taking over Packers fans ahead of the team’s Week 6 game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Lambeau Field.
Watson is still trying to get back to his old form, and once he does, he should provide a boost for Green Bay’s offense that has been heavily reliant on its rushing attack. The Packers are fourth in the league with a 48.4 percent rush play percentage, though, they are 11th overall with 232.8 passing yards per game.
Following the Packers’ move to open Watson’s practice window, the team shared a post on Instagram showing a couple of the wide receiver’s snaps in practice.
“Hey,9,” the caption read.
That was enough to get Green Bay fans even more hyped for the wideout’s looming return.

,” said a fan on Instagram.
Another one said: “Praying for a healthy rest of the season and praying this is the year I get to see my favorite deep threat ball out
”
From a commenter: “I USED TO PRAY FOR TIMES LIKE THIS”
“IF WE HAD YOU AGAINST DALLAS PROMISE WE WOULDVE WON,” a social media user posted.
Via a different commenter: “Already back at it!?! Nice!”
Said another: “Nice.. Should have a couple games with a few big catches before he goes down with another injury.”
With the team also missing wide receiver Jayden Reed, the Packers surely has a significant role for Watson once he makes his way back after a long absence.
