The Green Bay Packers have all the confidence in the world in their defense coming into this Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
With superstar defensive end Micah Parsons about to get fully unleashed with no limitations for the first time since coming over to Green Bay, the Packers believe they have more than enough to handle the business on the defensive side of the ball in their first game away from Lambeau Field in the 2025 NFL regular season.
The Browns are winless, and their offense is far from among the best in the NFL through two weeks of action. Cleveland is just 27th in the league with only 1a 6.5 points per game average.
However, a big change in the backfield could give the Browns a major boost against Green Bay.
Cleveland is reportedly planning to hand rookie running back Quinshon Judkins the keys as the team’s No. 1 option on the ground against Green Bay.
Jerome Ford started for the Browns in their first two games this season, as Judkins was signed late by Cleveland due to some legal, off-the-court issues. Now, the Packers appear to be the first team to see Judkins operate in the NFL as a starter.
Judkins made his NFL debut in Week 2, rushing for 61 yards with zero touchdowns on 10 carries in a 41-17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on the road. The Packers, on the other hand, are second in the NFL with just 48.5 rushing yards allowed per outing this season.
Selected in the second round (36th overall) by the Browns at the 2025 NFL Draft, Judkins played two years with the Ole Miss Rebels before helping the Ohio State Buckeyes win the national title in the 2024 college football season. In three years in college, Judkins posted 3,785 rushing yards with 45 touchdowns on 739 carries.
