Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons had a four-word reaction after watching the Philadelphia Eagles repeatedly use the “tush push” against the New York Giants on Thursday night. Like many NFL fans, Parsons couldn’t believe his eyes as the Eagles managed to score a touchdown after running the play four straight times.
This is not football!

“This is not football!” Parsons wrote in his post on X (formerly Twitter), and punctuated it with two trash can emojis.
During the second quarter of Thursday night’s matchup with the Giants, the Philadelphia Eagles leaned on their trademark “tush push” play. They executed the quarterback sneak on both 3rd-and-short and 4th-and-short, inching the ball to within striking distance of the end zone. The Eagles doubled down, running the same play twice more to punch in a touchdown. The sequence drew plenty of frustration from Giants fans, who believed a false start went uncalled, and Parsons shared their irritation.
The controversial play occurred at critical moments and immediately drew criticism from fans and former players, who called it excessively physical and at times unfair. Observers noted that the Eagles ran the tactic repeatedly, with questions about whether their linemen moved early on some snaps, adding fuel to the ongoing debate over whether the play should be restricted or banned entirely.
On the field, the game served up plenty of excitement beyond the controversy. By halftime, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts had completed 14 of 19 passes for 164 yards and a touchdown, with A.J. Brown hauling in five catches for 73 yards.
Rookie Jaxson Dart led the Giants with 10 completions on 13 attempts for 127 yards and a touchdown, while Wan’Dale Robinson added four receptions for 62 yards and a score, according to the ESPN box score.
Micah Parsons has always been vocal about plays he dislikes, and his postgame comment immediately stirred up online debate. The tweet’s directness, only four words and two trash emojis, reflected the forceful, forward shove that defines the play.
Packers fans will get to see Parsons’ reaction on the field when Green Bay hosts the Eagles on November 10, promising a matchup that could dominate the headlines over short-yardage tactics.
