The Kansas City Chiefs kicked off OTAs last week, and with both Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce in attendance, the team is clearly locked in on one goal: avenging their Super Bowl LIX loss to the Philadelphia Eagles this past February.

However, over the weekend, Mahomes and Kelce made headlines off the field by joining a lineup of celebrities for the annual Big Slick Celebrity Weekend in Kansas City. The star-studded event—hosted by Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, and Rob Riggle—also featured notable appearances from Jason Kelce, Chris Daughtry, and several other big names.

Held from May 30–31, Big Slick is a high-energy, multi-day charity bash benefiting Children’s Mercy Hospital. Packed with fan-friendly events and performances, this year’s weekend raised a staggering $4.5 million. Mahomes and Kelce played key roles throughout, engaging with fans, participating in on-stage moments, and helping energize support for the cause.

Fans reacted to the big event:

"WOW, great job all! Great people supporting a great cause!" A fan said.

Someone else added, "Love my city!!"

Another fan posted, "That's so cool."

"Da Best Bros," one more fan commented.

Mahomes and Kelce have spent their entire NFL careers with the Kansas City Chiefs, forming one of the most iconic and successful duos in the history of the sport.

Both have become true Kansas City legends—not just for their on-field dominance, but for their impact off the field as well. They’re deeply involved in charitable efforts across the community and have each launched their own foundations to give back.

Looking ahead, the Chiefs are set to open the 2025 NFL season in historic fashion—kicking things off in Brazil with a Friday night matchup against their AFC West rival, the Los Angeles Chargers, on September 5.
