Patrick Mahomes was looking to lead the Kansas City Chiefs to a victory over the Houston Texans on "Sunday Night Football" in Week 14.
The Chiefs have been strongly underwhelming this season after entering the year looking to make their fourth straight Super Bowl appearance, led by head coach Andy Reid.
Part of the struggle has been injuries for the Chiefs.
Heading into the matchup against the Texans, the Chiefs were missing Josh Simmons, Jawaan Taylor and Trey Smith.
The Chiefs' top offensive linemen, aside from center Creed Humphrey, were set to miss the game against one of the top defenses in the league.
With three starters on the offensive line ruled out for the matchup on "Sunday Night Football," including Simmons being placed on injured reserve, the Chiefs were dealt another injury early in the game.
During the first quarter of the matchup against the Texans, offensive lineman Wanya Morris suffered a leg injury. The Chiefs ruled him questionable to return after helping the Kansas City starter off the field.
The Wanya Morris injury is definitely something not to watch again. A left leg isn’t meant to bend that way. #Chiefs #ChiefsKingdom

The Kansas City Chiefs are continuing to play against the Houston Texans with four starters on the offensive line out, leaving Patrick Mahomes with immense pressure on his shoulders.
Mahomes won't have his top protection, putting weight on him to carry the offense and potentially stretch plays with his feet, given a struggling pass protection unit.
Patrick Mahomes has already been forced to use his legs more than usual this season, given the previous injuries to the offensive line.
Heading into the matchup against the Houston Texans, Mahomes had posted four touchdowns and 348 yards on the ground.
