Popular NFL Host Kay Adams Reportedly Landing Big Job

Kay Adams no longer works at NFL Network, but she's still a noticeable presence in the football media world.

Since leaving NFL Network in 2022, Adams has hosted her own daily show "Up & Adams" on FanDuel TV, where she regularly features guest appearances and interviews with some of the NFL's biggest stars.

"I would say it’s an hour-long, live, information-credibility-entertainment party. And it is not a party without guests!" Adams said of her show during a January 2024 feature interview with GQ. "There are as many guests as we can fit. We’ve done four or five in an hour, which is absolutely insane and ambitious."

"I love live [TV]. I would pick live over anything, any way," she added. "I hate taping anything. I think I’m too impatient to want to do something again, or edit. If you do something live, it’s behind you, there’s nothing you can do about it. There’s a real sense of being in the present moment that I don’t shy away from."

According to a new report, Adams is reportedly on the verge of a major NFL assignment later this month. She has apparently been tapped to host Netflix's studio coverage for its NFL Christmas Day doubleheader.

"Kay Adams, host of FanDuel’s Up & Adams, is expected to lead studio coverage from a set in Los Angeles. Adams previously hosted Good Morning Football in New York," said Front Office Sports' Michael McCarthy.

Drew Brees, Manti Te'o, Robert Griffin III and Mina Kimes will reportedly all serve as analysts for Netflix's pre and postgame coverage as well.

Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post first reported Netflix's interest in Adams back in September.

Ian Eagle, Nate Burleson and J.J. Watt will reportedly call the first game of the day between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs at 1 p.m. ET, with Eagle's father Ian and Greg Olsen calling the late game between the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans at 4:30 p.m. ET.
