Raheem Mostert Takes Shot at Dolphins Following Blockbuster Trade

Raheem Mostert shares two things in common with Jalen Ramsey and Jonnu Smith. The first is that all three players have represented the Miami Dolphins in the Pro Bowl once each since the 2023 season. The second reason is that none of them are with the team anymore.

Mostert left the Dolphins in free agency earlier in the offseason, signing a one-year deal worth $2.1 million with the Las Vegas Raiders. Ramsey and Smith, on the other hand, were involved in a blockbuster trade on Monday that sent them to the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for Minkah Fitzpatrick (also included a late-round draft pick swap).

Within hours of news of the deal being broken by NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, Mostert took to social media to voice his displeasure with how the organization treated his former Dolphins teammates.

"Hot take: Be a Pro-bowler on the Dolphins, get treated like [expletive]. Happy for my guys though! GO BALL OUT!!" Mostert wrote in a post on X.

Mostert's message offered his take on the Dolphins' and Steelers' trade and hinted at the frustration he likely felt during the 2024 season.

The year before, Mostert experienced a breakout campaign, leading the NFL with 18 rushing touchdowns and gaining 1,012 yards on 209 carries. But in 2024, he was limited to 278 yards and two touchdowns on 85 carries as De'Von Achane took over the Dolphins' starting running back job.

Mostert will not have an opportunity to take on his former squad in 2025, but Ramsey and Smith will. The Dolphins and Steelers are set to face off on a Dec. 15 edition of Monday Night Football at 8:15 p.m.
