Raiders 4-Round Mock Draft: Las Vegas Lands RB & QB of the Future
Matt Pendleton-Imagn Images

The Las Vegas Raiders were a bit slow out of the gates this offseason under first-year general manager John Spytek, but the franchise has rebounded with a handful of great acquisitions and trades. Not only did the team extend star defensive end Maxx Crosby and trade for quarterback Geno Smith, but they re-signed key pieces of the defensive line and made several other high-value additions.

Now, with nine picks at their disposal in the NFL Draft, including No. 6 overall, the new regime has a chance to make their mark on the future of Raiders football. With the help of Pro Football Focus' NFL Mock Draft Simulator, we completed a four-round mock draft.

6. Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty

With the No. 6 pick, the Raiders selected Heisman Trophy finalist Ashton Jeanty, who ran for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns last season for Boise State. Las Vegas desperately needs running back help, and there may not be a better prospect at the position over the last several years than Jeanty.

37. Kentucky CB Maxwell Hairston

In the second round, Las Vegas selected Kentucky cornerback Maxwell Hairston, who fits the mold of a Pete Carroll defensive back at 6-foot-1 and 183 pounds. The lightning-fast Hairston had six interceptions in college, three of which he returned for a touchdown and 89 combined tackles. He would be an asset to a secondary that just lost Nate Hobbs and Tre'von Moehrig.

68. Alabama QB Jalen Milroe

Las Vegas took a gamble in round three by selecting Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe. He has physical tools and an upside that no other player in the draft has, so he was a no-brainer in the third round. He'll have to sit for a few years before potentially becoming a starter, but there might not be a better combination of people for him to learn from than Geno Smith, Pete Carroll and Chip Kelly.

108. Texas WR Isaiah Bond

Isaiah Bond was the choice for the Raiders in round four, who will add tons of speed at wide receiver for an offense and pass-catching group that lacks a reliable set of hands downfield. His college numbers may not jump off the page, but he is a young and athletic receiver who could develop quickly with Smith's deep-ball ability.
