Raiders get an untimely injury update on Brock Bowers

The Las Vegas Raiders are beginning the 2026 season against the Miami Dolphins at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, but tight end Brock Bowers won’t be available.

On Wednesday, it was revealed that Bowers underwent a meniscus trim after being injured in camp, and he is now expected to miss at least one game.

Bowers was selected in the first round by the Raiders in 2024, and he exploded as a rookie with 112 catches for 1,194 yards and 5 touchdowns. In 2025, Bowers had 64 receptions for 680 yards and 7 scores in 12 games as he missed time due to injuries.

Entering 2026, Bowers was widely expected to be the top target for new Raiders QB Kirk Cousins, although this might change things depending on how he recovers from the injury.

The silver lining is that Bowers will miss just a game or two, at least according to the report. Ari Meirov mentioned that a meniscus trim usually comes with a 4-to-6-week timeline, so the Raiders are hoping their young tight end can beat that.
