Raiders rookie reveals eye-popping goals in 2026 season

Raider fans will love that talk from McCoy. Showing that he’s not aiming to let his past ailment define him, nor hold him back. He added how he’s “exceeded” his workout limits in showing that he’s fully healthy. 

“I was on a little limit, but I’ve been able to exceed that,” McCoy said. “It’s been going real good for me.”

McCoy flashed first round potential prior to his devastating knee injury. He grabbed four interceptions while facing SEC competition and broke up 13 passes. So those numbers catapulted McCoy into first round conversations.

But along came the Jan. 2025 setback involving his knee. McCoy even needed a bone plug placed in his knee to keep up together. That alone lured out the proverbial warning signs that McCoy was a risky draft pick because of his knee condition.

Yet dropping out of the first round and landing in the fourth is energizing him. He’s hellbent on showing the past skillset that made him revered in Knoxville.
