The Los Angeles Rams announced they have placed K Blake Grupe on injured reserve.
Grupe hurt his knee in his first game with the Rams in the first quarter when he tried to make a tackle on a kickoff.
Grupe, 27, played collegiately at both Arkansas State and Notre Dame. He signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent following the 2023 NFL Draft, and ultimately impressed enough to win the starting job coming out of camp.
He was scheduled to be a restricted free agent in 2026, but the Saints let him go at the end of November, and he joined the Colts in December.
Indianapolis re-signed him on a one-year, $1.4 million deal for 2026 but he was waived after camp and claimed by the Jets before being waived and brought back on the practice squad. He then signed with the Rams before Week 6 when the team decided to make a kicking change.
In 2025, Grupe appeared in 11 games for the Saints and made 18 of 26 field goal attempts (69.2 percent) to go with all 15 extra point attempts. He then appeared in five games for the Colts and made all 11 of his field goal attempts and all 10 of his extra point attempts.
In 2026, Grupe has appeared in one game for the Rams and made his only field goal attempt.
