Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams is still nursing a groin injury sustained in training camp on Aug. 11, putting his availability for Week 1 of the 2026 NFL regular season into question. Nacua was fantastic as the main target for MVP quarterback Matthew Stafford during the 2025 season.

The 6-foot-2 wide receiver finished first in the league in receptions (129), second to Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba in receiving yards (1,715) and finished tied for sixth in touchdowns (10). The 2025 first-team All-Pro has had an eventful offseason, to say the least, dealing with allegations, a short rehab stint and slamming through the window at Michael Rubin’s White Party in the Hamptons.

The 25-year-old has added his name to the list of eccentric receivers throughout NFL history, such as Michael Irvin and Antonio Brown. Recently, the Orem High School graduate received positive offseason news, coming in at No. 7 in the NFL Top 100 Players of 2026.

Nacua came in at No. 41 for the 2025 season after exploding onto the scene as a rookie and ranking at No. 33 for 2024. The rest of the Rams on the list for 2026 are as follows:

  • No. 89 – Kyren Williams, running back
  • No. 84 – Byron Young, linebacker
  • No. 53 – Davante Adams, wide receiver
  • No. 35 – Jared Verse, defensive end (TRADED)
  • No. 7 – Puka Nacua, wide receiver

Los Angeles has two players on its roster still expected to be on the list for the rest of the Top 6, with quarterback Stafford and defensive tackle Myles Garrett, who was recently acquired from the Cleveland Browns.

“Powerful Puka on the list ,” Los Angeles wrote on Instagram.

Head coach Sean McVay will lead the Rams into the first international game in Australia, facing the San Francisco 49ers at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 8:35 p.m. ET.
