Rams reportedly the favorites to land Odell Beckham Jr. this season

Free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has seemingly flirted with the Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, and multiple other teams. On Tuesday, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that "most" NFL executives he's spoken with view the Rams as the favorite to sign Beckham.

Beckham signed with the Rams last November after he and the Cleveland Browns parted ways. The three-time Pro Bowl selection tallied 48 total receptions with seven touchdowns during the second half of what became Los Angeles' championship run.

In last season's Super Bowl, Beckham suffered a torn ACL. He continues to rehab the injury.

"The team has maintained a good relationship with Beckham and has intimate knowledge of his injury file," Fowler explained. "His star power plays in Los Angeles, and he developed a quick on-field rapport with (quarterback Matthew Stafford)."

"It makes the most sense -- if you're coming off an injury, why start over with a new offense?" one NFC personnel director told Fowler about Beckham re-signing with the Rams.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported this past weekend that Beckham "is targeting the middle of November for his return to the field." Of course, plenty could and will change around the NFL between Tuesday and roughly four-to-six weeks down the road.

The Rams fell to 2-3 after a Week 5 loss to the Cowboys. It's possible Beckham could have second thoughts about running it back with the defending champions if they are below or even at .500 heading into the Thanksgiving Day holiday, especially if contenders with winning records are also pursuing him then.
