Ravens Announce Bad Lamar Jackson News Before Rams Game

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens have not had the start to the 2025 NFL season they had hoped. The team has compiled a 1-4 record, and the two-time NFL MVP at quarterback missed the team's Week 5 game against the Houston Texans, which saw the Ravens lose 44-10.

Jackson suffered a hamstring injury in the third quarter of the team's 37-20 Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, forcing the Ravens to turn to career backup quarterback Cooper Rush. To say Rush has struggled in his game and a half this season would be an understatement. He has thrown for 231 yards with zero touchdowns and three picks, while posting a passer rating of 51.5.

With hope around Baltimore that Jackson would return for the team's Week 6 meeting with the Los Angeles Rams (3-2), the latest update on Jackson could indicate that the 28-year-old out of Louisville isn't ready just yet. Reports on Wednesday have revealed that Jackson missed his fourth consecutive practice.

According to Ravens editorial director Ryan Mink, Jackson not only missed practice, but is trending toward missing another contest.

"Lamar Jackson (hamstring) is not back at practice yet and is in danger of missing a second straight game this Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams," wrote Mink.

Before going down with the hamstring issue, Jackson had thrown for 869 yards and 10 touchdowns to just one interception, while rushing for 166 yards and another score.

The Ravens will take on Matthew Stafford and the Rams (3-2) at 1 p.m. ET Sunday on Fox.
