NFL players were allowed to wear custom cleats during Week 13 for the league's annual My Cause My Cleats campaign. Baltimore Ravens All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton had a very special cause for this year.

Motivated by the strength of military kids and appreciation for the challenges they are met with, Hamilton partnered with USAA to honor Our Military Kids, a nonprofit offering extracurricular activity grants to children and teens of deployed National Guard, deployed Reserve, or post-9/11 combat wounded, ill, or injured Veterans in treatment.

Hamilton's purple cleats, designed by Marcus Rivero, honored the organization on one foot and several branches of the U.S. military on the other. He wore them during Baltimore's game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Hamilton recently put cause into action surprising several local military kids from the Baltimore area. The group spent the day touring the Ravens’ practice facility, enjoying each other's company, and putting on their favorite pair of cleats to throw some touchdowns. In the video below, Hamilton connects with the kids by showing them the person behind the football helmet and sharing his support for military families.

A third-year player for the Ravens, Hamilton is continuing what has started out as a fantastic NFL career in 2024. He's recorded 88 tackles, four tackles for loss, and a forced fumble through 13 games and is on track for his second Pro Bowl by leading all AFC strong safeties in votes

More importantly, he's establishing himself as a role model for the next generation. Baltimore sure is lucky to have him.
