Cincinnati Bengals superstar receiver Ja’Marr Chase is reportedly leaving Nike to sign a sponsorship agreement with Fabletics — a relatively new apparel brand in which comedian Kevin Hart is invested in — according to FOX Sports insider Jordan Schultz. Chase will be the first NFL star to sign with Fabletics, per Schultz.
According to its website, Fabletics started in 2014. It began as “a vision to fuse fashion with activewear” and has become a global active lifestyle brand that produces both men’s and women’s sportswear, footwear and accessories.
Chase is entering his fifth NFL season and coming off a career year that helped him secure a historic four-year, $161 million contract extension that made him one of the highest-paid non-quarterbacks in the league with an average annual salary of $40.25. Newly minted Green Bay Packers linebacker Micah Parsons is currently the highest-paid non-QB after signing a record-shattering four-year, $188 million extension that will pay him $47 million annually after last week’s shocking trade away from the Dallas Cowboys.
The 25-year-old Chase has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first four seasons in the NFL. This past season, his game reached another level, completing the receiver Triple Crown by leading the NFL with 127 receptions for 1,708 yards and 17 touchdowns. Chase earned First-Team All-Pro honors and finished eighth in MVP voting. In total, Chase has 395 catches for 5,425 yards and 46 touchdowns in his career.
Ja’Marr Chase loves his bling. And after signing a record-breaking four-year, $161 million contract extension earlier this offseason, the Cincinnati Bengals receiver is taking it up a notch.
Chase recently purchased a set of custom diamond dice. Jason of Beverly Hills, who has made other custom jewelry for Chase, made the dice for Chase and showed them off on Instagram.
The personal accolades are nice. But the Bengals, as a team, have struggled over the last two seasons. Cincinnati has gone back-to-back years with no postseason after making the Super Bowl in 2021 and the AFC Championship Game in 2022. Slow starts have been an issue, as the Bengals got off to an 0-3 start to the 2024 season.
But after extending Chase and fellow star wideout Tee Higgins, the Bengals return one of the league’s best offenses, captained by quarterback Joe Burrow. Cincinnati remains in its Super Bowl window. For now, Chase wants to see them return atop the AFC North.
“My biggest thing this year, going forward, is making the playoffs, man,” Chase said earlier this offseason. “We got to get to the playoffs. That’s my first step, but [the] team goal is to win the division.”
