Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown is facing attempted murder charges related to an incident that occurred during a celebrity boxing event in Miami last month.

Authorities detained Brown following a brawl with multiple individuals at an event hosted by popular streamer Adin Ross on May 16.

Brown later posted on social media, saying he’d been “jumped” and they attempted to steal some of his jewelry.

According to a warrant cited by The Washington Post, video footage showed Brown punching a man, then taking a gun from a security guard and charging towards him. Cellphone video captured the sound of two gunshots, police said.

The victim was grazed in the neck by a bullet and a struggle over the gun followed before police arrived, at which point Brown walked away, according to the warrant. The victim, who claimed to have known Brown since 2022, was hospitalized.

The much maligned wide receiver spent 12 seasons in the NFL, including two with the Buccaneers. In January 2022, he abruptly left a game, stripping off his jersey and pads mid-game, and officially retired from professional football two months later.

The BR Rub

Antonio Brown needs help. He’s been spiraling out of control for quite some time now. From prancing off of the field in New York, to shacking up with the toilet licking covid denier, to now an attempted murder charges, Brown has proven his mental health is not right. Hopefully he gets the help he so desperately needs.
