Rob Julian and the Buccaneers, a name that doesn’t make headlines, but one that has been key in the franchise’s most important moments. Since his arrival in 1993 as the turf manager, Rob witnessed firsthand the two Super Bowl seasons that crowned the Bucs as world champions.

Not many can say they’ve been at One Buc Place for 32 years. He can. And quietly, he’s become part of the team’s identity.

The Champion Turf Guardian

As Director of Fields and Maintenance since 2017, Rob oversaw every detail of the AdventHealth Training Center. He not only kept the fields pristine for elite football, but also participated in the design of the training center itself and the selection of the turf for the indoor field.

His technical knowledge and commitment to excellence helped build the physical foundation—literally—of Tampa Bay’s championships.

A Farewell to Match

On May 29, during the team’s OTAs, the coaching staff, led by Todd Bowles, wanted to pay tribute to him. The most symbolic moment: Rob Julian led the final circle of practice, a tradition reserved for key figures within the locker room.

It was his last lap on the field. And although he wasn’t wearing a helmet or pads, everyone knew he was leaving as a true buccaneer.

A New Journey, This Time with Teresa

Rob Julian, the Bucs’ veteran, is closing out a glorious era, but he’s not leaving the green. His next plan: more golf, more travel, and more time with his wife, Teresa. A well-deserved break for the man who dedicated his professional life to helping the Buccaneers coach and play like champions.
