The Denver Broncos surprised NFL fans across the country as they punched their ticket to the 2025 NFL Playoffs only to fall 31-7 to the Buffalo Bills on January 12, 2025.

The emergence of rookie quarterback Bo Nix helped lead Sean Payton's team to within five games of the AFC West champion Kansas City Chiefs, adding to optimism for 2025.

On Monday, former Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III revealed a trade scenario that he believes could take the Broncos' offense to the next level.

Griffin III feels Denver should trade for the San Francisco 49ers' former Pro Bowler Deebo Samuel, stating that he believes Payton is the man who can return him to his former glory at the wide receiver position.

"The Denver Broncos should trade for Deebo Samuel," Griffin III said. "Sean Payton said he needs a 'Joker' who can be an elite receiver who can play RB/TE, create mismatches and own the middle. That's Deebo," Griffin III added.

"Sean Payton will understand how to use his versatility to get him back to his YAC (yards after catch) attack."

Samuel signed a three-year, $71.5 million contract extension in August 2022.

Now 29 years old, Samuel had 806 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns last season, both career lows excepting his seven-game season with San Francisco in 2020.
