Ryan Grubb lays out Alabama football’s offensive philosophy: ‘We’re going to be aggressive‘

Newly-hired Alabama offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb sees himself as an ‘aggressive’ play-caller.

Grubb comes to Tuscaloosa being known for having an offensive approach that focuses on an explosive scheme and unique play-calling. 

The Alabama coordinator met with reporters and was asked how he would describe his style as a play- caller. Grubb didn’t hold back, giving a confident response.

“Aggressive,” Grubb said. “We’re going to be aggressive. “I think that with the players, when it works the best-the understanding that the players have that we’ve got to be responsible with the football. Not go backwards, make sure we’re always matriculating the ball down the field and being ready for the opportunity to take the shot.”

With Grubb’s aggressive approach now officially at the helm, it will be interesting to see what potential heights the veteran coordinator can help Alabam reach in 2025.
