Saquon Barkley played a key role for the Philadelphia Eagles in Sunday’s much-needed win over the Las Vegas Raiders. The All-Pro running back had 22 carries in the game for 78 yards and one touchdown, to go along with two catches for 14 receiving yards.
Thanks in part to Barkley’s effort, the Eagles were able to break out of their three-game losing skid. They blew out the Raiders in a 31-0 shutout, improving to 9-5 on the season.
Barkley, however, popped up on the injury report on Tuesday as Philadelphia submitted an estimated injury report ahead of Saturday’s matchup against the Washington Commanders.
The Eagles opted for a walkthrough on Tuesday to kick off their short week. The injury report submitted was an estimation, and Barkley was listed as a non-participant due to a stinger.
The nerve injury did not appear to be a concern for Barkley, though. On Wednesday, the Eagles star was upgraded to a full participant in practice. The team announced the positive development via Wednesday’s practice injury report.

The stinger appears to be a new issue for Barkley, but it does not seem like it’s going to stop him from suiting up on Saturday. The 28-year-old has not missed a game for the Eagles this season, and it appears that this streak will continue against the Commanders.
It is worth noting, however, that there are a number of notable names on Wednesday’s practice report. Jalen Carterdid not practice due to injuries to both of his shoulders, while Lane Johnson remained out as well. Jalen Hurts, who appeared to have sustained a leg injury against the Raiders, was not included on the report.
The Eagles will have an opportunity to clinch a playoff berth in Week 16. They will need to defeat Washington and hope for a few other favorable results in the NFC. A win against the Commanders will also allow Philly to clinch the NFC East title for the second straight season.
