The Seattle Seahawks showed promise in head coach Mike Macdonald's first season with the franchise. Despite falling short of the playoffs in a crowded NFC West, Seattle has silver linings to build around, like the future of young wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba and promising defenders like Derick Hall and Boye Mafe.

On Sunday, the Seahawks announced they hired Klint Kubiak to be their new offensive coordinator. Former OC Ryan Grubb was fired earlier this month after one season with the club. He was part of Kalen DeBoer's staff with the Washington Huskies from 2022 to 2023.

Kubiak was the Saints offensive coordinator in 2024 after serving as the San Francisco 49ers passing game coordinator in 2023.

The 37-year-old coach turned heads with the Saints with his offense's hot 2-0 start to the season.

In those two games, the Saints scored 47 points against Carolina in Week 1 and then scored 44 points against Dallas in Week 2.

Kubiak's Saints averaged 19.4 points per game, ranking 24th. They were 21st in yards, gaining 320.1 per game. The Saints endured injuries to several offensive starters, resulting in quarterback Derek Carr, wide receivers Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed and tight end Taysom Hill to miss a total of 36 games.

Kubiak is the son of former NFL head coach Gary Kubiak, who coached in the league from 1994 to 2020.
