The Seattle Seahawks didn't struggle much during their dominant week two preseason 33-16 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. They did have a bit of an injury scare, though, when one of their selections in the 2025 NFL Draft was forced to leave the game and head to the locker room.

Seahawks sixth-round pick Bryce Cabeldue avoids injury scare in team's preseason win over the Chiefs

While Seahawks sixth-round pick Bryce Cabeldue did get checked out in the locker room, he was able to return to action during the team's rout of the Chiefs. The Seahawks drafted Cabeldue with the 192nd pick in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Cabeldue was one of the most athletic offensive linemen in the entire 2025 NFL Draft class, and it leads many to believe he has solid upside at the pro level. As a sixth-round pick, though, his spot on the team's roster is far from a guarantee, as teams move on from late-day three draft picks ahead of their rookie seasons all the time.

Suffering an injury today could have been detrimental to his chances of making the Seahawks' 53-man roster. Thankfully, he was able to return to the game and was even on the field during a goal line set to help fellow rookie Damien Martinez punch in his first NFL preseason touchdown. Hopefully, his return to the game means all is well, and he will be able to be a full participant in practice this week, as well as the team's final preseason matchup. You'd hate to see a roster fringe player have an injury derail his chances of making his dreams come true.
