Seahawks' Russell Wilson new favorite to win 2020 NFL MVP

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and reigning Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Patrick Mahomes is no longer the favorite to win the 2020 regular-season edition of the award.

Heading into Thursday's Week 3 opener between the Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars, listed Seattle Seahawks signal-caller Russell Wilson at +350 to win MVP. Mahomes began Wednesday at +450.

Wilson, who has never earned either MVP honor, was sensational over Seattle's first eight quarters of play, as he matched nine touchdowns with a single interception. The one-time Super Bowl champion leads the league in passing scores, completion percentage (82.5 percent), and passer rating (140.0).

Second-year pro Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals (+600) checks in above Baltimore Ravens QB and 2019 MVP Lamar Jackson (+750). Two-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers has the Green Bay Packers at 2-0 and sits at +1000 two weeks into the campaign.

Don't sleep on Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen. At +1400, he could be the best value choice of the bunch, especially if the Bills remain atop the AFC East standings through the fall months.

Chanted for Matt Harvey to start the ninth inning of Game 5 of the 2015 World Series at Citi Field. Whoops. You can find him on Twitter at @ZacWassink
