Seahawks’ Smartest Offseason Move, and Its Riskiest Bet

I believe drafting Jadarian Price is going to be the best move the Seahawks made this offseason. That might be a bold take, but the team didn’t exactly make many additions.

The addition of Price became extremely necessary after Kenneth Walker II signed with the Chiefs. Zach Charbonnet tore his ACL in the playoffs, so that meant the Seahawks had a massive hole at running back.

Price was an accomplished running back in college despite having to split carries with Jeremiyah Love. Price rushed for at least 640 yards in both 2024 and 2025, averaging 6.0 yards per carry during his Notre Dame career. The Seahawks are counting on Price to be the workhorse until Charbonnet gets back.

If Price handles the role, he and Charbonnet should be an electric duo just like Walker and Charbonnet were.

Riskiest Bet

There are a couple of choices here. You could argue the Seahawks could have added another reliable pass-catcher. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp, and Rashid Shaheed are a solid trio, but there’s not much depth to speak of.

However, I believe the secondary is a bigger risk. The team let Coby Bryant and Riq Woolen leave in free agency, and the plan is to replace them with previous backups Ty Okada and Josh Jobe. Jobe and Okada have both been good in limited samples, but they’re going to be counted on more than ever in 2026.

The team only kept three safeties on the final roster, too, so there’s no margin for error. Add in that Okada and Nick Emmanwori are currently banged up, and it seems like the secondary is easily the spot with the most questions.
