Shedeur Sanders Shares Lesson Learned From Speeding Incident

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders lost a good deal of trust and support a few weeks ago when he was pulled over and charged with speeding. On Friday, he finally addressed the issue with the media.

Sanders was asked about his multiple speeding tickets today and after initially grinning at the question, he shared what he's "learned" from the experience.

The rookie QB said that the lesson he learned is not to drive fast "at all." He said that he'll take it a step further by barely driving these days.

"Yeah, I definitely learned not to drive fast at all," Sanders said. "So, I really don't even drive that much anymore. But I really don't drive fast at all. So, I definitely follow the rules and I hope everybody learned from my situation, you know, that not drive fast at all."

As good as it is that Sanders learned that lesson, it may not be enough for some fans and would-be supporters. Sanders already joined the organization with questions about his attitude and maturity - questions that he fed into through some of his pre-NFL Draft behavior.

It's very likely that a player who was either undrafted or simply not a quarterback might have been cut outright after picking up two speeding tickets in less than three months after being drafted.

But the fact of the matter is that Sanders is a quarterback who the team drafted and invested in. He'll get more patience from the organization than other players will.

That being said, the ice under Sanders' feet is probably going to start getting thin if he makes another mistake.
