So far Pete Carroll has not fixed what got Josh McDaniels and Antonio Pierce fired by the Las Vegas Raiders

Thursday against the Seattle Seahawks was one of the most anticipated preseason games in recent memory, certainly one of the most anticipated in recent Las Vegas Raiders history.

You have a new regime who have given this fan base hope that they haven’t had in a long time. Then you have a new look offense, with a new quarterback, new offensive coordinator, and new weapons all throughout the roster.

But, what fans got to see from that side of things — the new offense, was not promising. Let’s preface everything by saying this is the preseason, and just because they looked bad, doesn’t mean that’s what the season will look like. This is why there is a preseason, to use these moments to get on the same page against a team you haven’t been playing in practice every week.

But man, it was bad for the first and even second team offense.

Raiders still have the same offensive issues

When the first team offense trotted out there, we all expected them to have some rust to knock off. But, it was much worse than that. There was rust, for sure, but there was also just bad play. The offense looked terrible, and there were way too many penalties.

And they know that, too.

You better believe they are going to work on that this week against the San Francisco 49ers in joint practice.

These issues we saw are the same things that got Josh McDaniels and Antonio Pierce fired. Now, I have confidence that Carroll and Kelly will get them fixed before Week 1, but, it’s pretty obvious they cannot have another bad offensive season.
