Star slot cornerback Kyler Gordon has yet to see the field this season due to an ongoing hamstring issue. The Chicago Bears’ defense is in need of him going into a pivotal Week 6 matchup against the Washington Commanders.
Gordon started to practice leading up to Week 4’s game against the Raiders but ultimately did not play. It looks like the bye week was a perfect time to get the cornerback healed up and ready.
According to Zack Pearson of Bear Report, the highest paid slot corner in the NFL will be making his season debut.
During Tuesday’s press conference, Gordon revealed to the media that he will make his season debut on Monday Night Football against the Commanders.

This is a huge boost for a depleted Bears defense. Gordon will be a great addition to a secondary that is without Jaylon Johnson. Hopefully the Bears can continue to get healthy with potential returns of TJ Edwards and Austin Booker going into Week 6.
