Stats Show How Elite Eagles’ Pass Defense Has Been
Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles are flying high with their 6-0 record to start the NFL season.

However, that record is coming from the hard work of the entire Eagles roster.

While the team is firing on all cylinders, it’s their defense that’s been elite this season.

But, the best part of the Eagles’ defense is their pass defense.

So what are the statistics saying about the Eagles’ pass defense that’s making them elite in 2022?

Eagles Have Two Top-Five Corners On Pass Breakups

It’s hard for teams to score touchdowns when you have elite corners breaking up passes.

With the Eagles, they have two of the best pass defenders this season in James Bradberry and Darius Slay.

Bradberry’s nine breakups puts him in a tie for first, while Slay’s seven ties him for fifth.

With some teams only having one star receiver, having Bradberry and Slay gives the Eagles’ defense a dominant pass defense.

Teams who have multiple offensive threats can still get shut down by the elite corners the Eagles’ have this season.

It’s rare for defenses to have multiple corners playing this good during a single season.

However, it’s the Eagles showing NFL fans they can accomplish this, which has led them to their 6-0 record.

While their offense is scoring points, it’s these two players who are preventing offenses from scoring.

With the NFL having so many great QBs, the Eagles need both their corners to remain healthy this season.

If they do, they might become the players who help the Eagles go deep into the playoffs.
