Steelers vs Jets NFL Week 1 Broadcast Map: Will you be able to watch on TV?

The Pittsburgh Steelers are starting the 2025 NFL season with a road game against the New York Jets.

A game of revenge, I can't remember the last time there was a Week 1 opener where the two quarterbacks face off against their former teams. There is a lot of animosity and chips on shoulders, even if each QB will tell you otherwise.

Will you be able to watch the Steelers play the Jets on Sunday? If you live in the red areas on the map below, you’ll get this game on your local CBS channel at 1:00 pm ET, according to 506sports.com.

Steelers Week 1 TV Broadcast Map

Via A To Z Sports

As you can see, the early window will be dominated by Steelers vs. Jets. It makes a ton of sense given the two brands and the fact that Aaron Rodgers, a future hall of fame quarterback will be making his debut for one of the most notable franchises in all of sports.

Who’s calling the Bengals game this week?

CBS is sending the following broadcasting crew to call Pittsburgh's game in New York:

– Ian Eagle (play-by-play)
– J.J. Watt (analyst)

It's more family ties for Pittsburgh this week as J.J. Watt will be on the call to watch his brother perform. The last time he called one of T.J.'s games, it was an embarrassing loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas day.

Pittsburgh will be hoping for a different result with Watt on the call this week.

What to watch for

Cam Heyward’s status

There has been a lot of hullabaloo about whether or not the Steelers’ captain will be on the field in Week 1. Mike Tomlin fully believes that he will be out there, saying on Tuesday that he fully expects the All-Pro to be on the field. Cam wasn’t nearly as optimistic, however, saying “we’ll see” when asked by his podcast co-host if he would be out there. I’d bank on him playing.

Aaron Rodgers Debut

After not taking a snap in the preseason, Aaron Rodgers will finally make his debut in the Black and Gold. It was a relatively quiet camp and preseason from Rodgers, and his performance in Latrobe was up and down to say the least.

But now it’s go time. Rodgers will be facing his old team, and the revenge meter will be at an all-time high. I’m not expecting a vintage, MVP Aaron Rodgers kind of performance, but I think his arm talent will flash, and it will be the best a Steelers QB has looked since Ben Roethlisberger.
