Super Bowl Ticket Prices Take Unexpected Turn Week Before Chiefs-Eagles Kickoff

Fans hoping to travel to New Orleans and watch the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs square off in the Super Bowl LVII might be able to catch a bit of a deal by waiting to snag their tickets.

Ticket prices for the Super Bowl opened at more than $6,000 on many secondary ticket markets just after last week's conference championship games, but have taken a steady drop over the last several days.

As the New York Post noted, prices for all levels of tickets have dropped more than $1,000 in just a few days.

"Yes, in just 96 hours, the cheapest seats went from $4,516 before fees on Vivid Seats to $3,467 before fees now," the report noted. "For those without a calculator, that’s $1,049 in savings. Not bad for just waiting four days."

The report found an even sharper drop among the 100-level tickets, which fell to $5,091 on Friday after rising to $6,774 on Jan. 27.

Though Super Bowl tickets may be coming down, the 2025 prices have remained higher than recent averages and demand is high. Adam Budelli, a spokesperson for the ticket reselling platform StubHub, told Reuters that demand is at the highest level of the three-year run for the Chiefs.

"There's been a narrative of 'have we seen fan fatigue affect ticket sales?' and sometimes you can draw that line," Budelli said.

"But that's certainly not the case of what our data is showing so far for the Super Bowl."
